Officials at the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing said that the reconstruction of Sardar Daud Khan military hospital will be completed by Friday. Nilofar Langar, spokesperson for the ministry told Killid that following President Ashraf Ghani’s order, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has undertaken the reconstruction of the hospital and more than 90 percent of the reconstruction work has been completed. Langar added that the ministry’s engineers also restored parts of the hospital which were worn out before the attack. She further stated that Ministry of Urban Development and Housing is fully committed to reconstruct and renovate medical facilities, schools and other public facilities which come under attack from armed anti-government groups. Recently gunmen dressed in white lab coats stormed the hospital and battled security forces for hours, killing more than 50 people and wounding dozens.
