At least 10 Taleban insurgents were killed and nine others injured in a clash with Afghan security forces in Badghis and Farah provinces last night. Eqbal Bayer, spokesman for Farah police, said that Taleban attacked a police checkpoint in Golchen area of Posht district last night in which five Taleban militants were killed and nine others injured. He added that Taleban insurgents suffered heavy casualties and they were repulsed. He further stated that a policeman was also killed during the clash. Meanwhile five Taleban insurgents were killed when they attacked police checkpoints in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province. Zahir Bahand, spokesman for Badghis governor’s office, said that Shayesta Khan and Mohammad Naser, two Taleban local commanders, were among the insurgents killed in the incident. He added that two policemen were also injured during the clash. Taleban militants have not commented on the incident yet.
