A number of irresponsible armed individuals have reportedly torched a polio vaccination center in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor’s office, said that unknown armed men torched a polio vaccination centre in Chadara area of Bati Kot district last night. He added that some of the materials of the centre were destroyed. He asserted that the motive behind the incident is not clear yet and investigation is underway. No group has claimed responsibility. The three-day immunisation campaign of Polio started in Nangarhar province yesterday.
