Officials at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) said that the university will reopen today. Zubaida Akbar, head of the public relation department at AUAF, said that the session starts with a three-day orientation programme for students and lessons will start from March 28. She said that 85 students have got admission. Militants had stormed the university last August killing at least 18 people and injuring dozens. According to Akbar, the university had thought that foreigners on the faculty at AUAF may not wish to continue to work after the terror attack, but not only have they returned, but as the university reopens new foreign teachers have been appointed.
