A campaign for children’s education was launched in Mata Khan district of Paktika province. According to the reports, the campaign’s aim is to inform families and people of literacy and education. The campaigners went door to door in the district to encourage families to participate in the government’s campaign. Mohammad Elyas Wahdat, governor of Paktika, said that people in the province are interested in education but still efforts are needed for public awareness. Meanwhile Nasim Wajid, acting head of Paktika education department, said that the campaign will cover other district of the province as well.
