Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that based on the past experiences we should have the best system for holding election in the country. The president discussed the issue with election commissioners and international allies in Presidential Palace (ARG) yesterday evening. A press release from ARG stated that the use of new technologies in the electoral process and voter registration were discussed in the meeting. Head of Afghanistan Independent Election Commission (IEC) and IEC secretary said that based on their observations, technology should be used in the electoral process. Meanwhile international allies also stressed that election is an intra-Afghan process and they fully support Afghan government for holding a transparent election. President Ghani further stated that the government is committed to use technology to ensure transparency in the election.
