Officials of Selab 201 Corps in east of the country reported that 17 Daesh militants were killed in Nangarhar province. Sheren Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for Selab 201 Corps, told Killid that the insurgents were killed in Afghan security forces’ airstrikes in Nazian, Pacheragam, and Koot districts yesterday. Meanwhile four local policemen were killed in a Taleban attack on a checkpoint in Ghani Khail district of Nangarhar last night. Abdul Wahab, district governor of Ghani Khail, said that Taleban attacked a police checkpoint in the district in which four local policemen were killed and one was injured. He added that reinforcements arrived soon after the attack and Taleban insurgents were repulsed. The district governor reiterated that six Taleban insurgents were also killed during the clash with Afghan security forces.
