At least 26 Taleban insurgents including two prominent commanders were killed and 8 others injured in US and Afghan security forces’ airstrikes in Garmser district of Helmand in the past 24 hours. A press release from 215 Maiwand Corps stated that two prominent Taleban commanders named Abdul Wali and Mullah Jan were killed in the airstrikes conducted in different parts of Garmser district. The statement added that Afghan security forces have seized some weapons. Taleban militants have not commented on the statement so far.
