More than 80 Taleban insurgents were killed or injured in Afghan security forces’ operation in Farah province. Iqbal Baher, spokesman for Farah police, told Killid that the operation was launched in Todnak area of Balabolok district to clear the area of insurgents for the past five days. Baher added that 35 Taleban insurgents were killed and 47 injured. The spokesman further stated that five vehicles of the insurgents were also destroyed during the operation. According to Baher, one Afghan policeman was killed and two others were injured in the clash. Earlier provincial council of Farah had told Killid that civilians suffered heavy casualties during the clash between Afghan security forces and armed anti-government forces.
