Local officials in Nangarhar reported that tens of civilians who were held captive by Daesh militants for four months in Pachir Agam district were freed yesterday. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office sent to Killid stated that 42 civilians were freed from Daesh militants. The statement added that all the captives were old men who were kidnapped by Daesh militants in Pachir Agam district but were kept in Haska Mina and Kot districts. The source added that the captives were released by efforts of provincial governor, Gulab Mangal, and some tribal elders. Daesh militants have not commented on the incident yet.
