Durrani: 57 Percent People Have Access to Clean Drinking Water

Officials at Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said that some 60 percent of citizens have access to clean drinking water. Nasir Ahmad Durrani, minister of rural rehabilitation and development, addressed a press conference today stating that they are trying to provide citizens with adequate sanitation facilities and clean drinking water. Durrani asserted that one of the priorities of the rural rehabilitation and development ministry is to supply the nation with clean drinking water. This comes as most Afghans still do not have access to clean drinking despite billions of dollars invested by the international community to supply the nation with a steady supply. A large number of people suffer from diseases caused by impure water.
