Local officials in Kandahar said that Pakistan has expelled 500 Afghan refugees from Baluchistan in the wake of the country’s worst ever militants attack. Samim Ekhpelwak, spokesman for Kandahar governor, said that the refugees who were expelled to Shorabak district of Kandahar are all from different provinces of Afghanistan. Ekhpelwak added that a delegation from the Kandahar governor’s office has been dispatched to the district to provide foodstuff and emergency relief to refugees. Shorabak district is located alongside the Durand Line border with Baluchistan. Meanwhile Abdul Nafi Sana, governor of Shorabak, said that the refugees are currently living in the houses of the residents and asserted they need shelter and immediate protection.
