Adviser to Pakistan Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz held a telephonic conversation with Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hanif Atmar on Friday and expressed serious concerns over terrorist activities in Pakistan. A press release from Pakistan embassy in Kabul sent to media stated that Sartaj Aziz conveyed deep anguish and pain of Pakistani people over recent terrorist attacks. Aziz added that terrorist group Jamat-ul- Ahrar (JuA) a faction of Tehreek-e-Taleban, was behind these recent barbaric acts of terrorism in Pakistan and stated that it was important for Afghan government to take strong action against such elements to reaffirm that its soil was not used for terrorism against Pakistan. Atmar expressed Afghan government’s condolences over the loss of lives in the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
