NSC Approves Procedure for Registration of Vehicles

Presidential Palace (ARG) approved procedure for registration and biometric of vehicle holders in the country. A press release from Presidential Palace sent to media stated that the procedure was approved at a National Security Council’s (NSC) meeting chaired by President Ghani yesterday. The statement added that the council approved the procedure for registration, and vehicle holders’ biometric – a procedure that is applicable to all types of vehicle owners across the country – and instructed the relevant organs to begin the process. The council reiterated that registration of vehicles and biometric of their owners prevents suicide, terrorist and criminal incidents. The president instructed the ministries of interior and telecommunication, and National Security Council (NSC) to prepare their executive plan for the procedure within two weeks.
