The family of Hasibullah who was killed on the border in a clash with Pakistani forces last week says they are grappling with financial woes. Hasibullah was the sole breadwinner of the family. His mother Mahboba told Killid her son was martyred in Kandahar while defending his homeland. Her late husband was a poor man, and couldn’t meet the family’s needs on daily wages, she added. Hasibullah is survived by three children and a mother. The family lives in a rented house and has requested the government to address their economic problems. Obaidullah, Hasibullah’s brother, does not know how he can support the family. Zia Durrani, spokesman for Kandahar police, said that Hasibullah’s family will be given all government privileges. He added the government will never forget the sacrifice of its dead soldiers.
