Daesh Militants Cremates Dozen Houses in Nangarhar

Local Officials from Nangarhar said that Daesh militants cremated 65 houses in Koot district yesterday. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that Daesh militants cremated the houses in Baba Ghonde area of the district, but residents had evacuated their houses earlier due to Daesh threats. The statement added that incident did not have human casualties and less financial losses as the residents had taken their merchandise and properties with them while evacuating their houses. Meanwhile Mohammad Gulab Mangal, provincial governor, called the act barbaric and added that Daesh militants want to create dismay and horror among the people. Mangal asserted that Daesh militants cannot dismay people by cremating houses. In the intervening time, Malik Ahmadzai, a tribal elder from Koot district, said that Daesh militants cremated 200 houses in Se Pai area of the district. He added that people’s merchandise and properties have totally been cremated and destroyed. Daesh militants are yet to comment on the incident.
