Security officials of Ghazni reported that criminal incidents such as murder, abduction, and armed robbery have dropped in the first eight months of the year. Mohammad Qaher Nasiri, chief of criminal investigation of Ghazni, told Killid that 160 criminal incidents are recorded in Ghazni since start of the year and 203 villains were allegedly detained and referred to judicial bodies. He added that joblessness, addiction to drugs, and insecurity are all the root causes that youths tend toward criminal acts. Meanwhile provincial council members and tribal elders of Ghazni commend Ghazni polices’ latest action and urged central government to appreciate the good works of police and other local officials. Mohammad Reza Yosufi, secretary of Ghani provincial council, told that as a result of good security and intelligence management, criminal incidents have declined and security forces have detained several felon on account of heavy crimes such as murder and abduction. This comes as earlier last month security officials in Ghazni captured a group of felons blackmailing people.
