He asked Afghans not to miss this historical opportunity and brave the situation, and vote for their candidates.
Karim Khalili, the second vice president, after having cast his vote, asked Afghans to consider this day important.
He added that the combined efforts of media and election observers have made the elections transparent and free of fraud.
